MORRISTOWN -- The Black Lake Association and New York State Parks Boat Steward Program will provide two education and outreach days on Aug. 21 and 22 at the Black Lake boat launch, county Route 6.
Parks boat stewards and association volunteers will staff the launch from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, providing outreach and doing voluntary watercraft inspections.
Parks stewards will talk to boaters and anglers about best management practices for preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species. They will provide educational handouts that emphasize the "Clean / Drain / Dry" responsibilities of boaters to help stop the spread of invasive species.
