POTSDAM -- An introduction to fingerstyle for stringed instruments class with Charlie Lederer will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 41 Elm St., Snell Hall,| Room 229.
The cost for St. Lawrence County Arts Council members is $19 and $245 for non-members.
This class will cover basic techniques required to play fingerstyle for any string instrument.
Proper use of the right hand will be the main focus. Many classical and modern pieces, from Bach to the Beatles, will be used to help demonstrate and improve these techniques.
Students should bring a guitar, tuner, notebook and pencil. Handouts will be provided of exercises and pieces.
