POTSDAM – Clarkson University's Information Technology, Human Resources, and Marketing & External Relations offices will host an interactive forum to discuss issues of privacy and safety in the increasingly digital world on Wednesday, March 21, from 3-4 p.m. in the new Student Center forum.
The session will examine security issues surrounding the use of social networking sites, the benefits and risks of using smartphones with locations-based services, and security of cloud-based services such as Google Apps and Microsoft Live.
Bring your devices and questions. The presenters will show attendees how to toggle geo-tagging on photos, lock down smartphone, locate a lost device, and much more.
Attendees who register for the event at http://stayingsafe.eventbrite.com will be entered into a drawing to receive an Aramark gift certificate.
The event is free and open to the public.
