CANTON -- The Unitarian Universalist Church, 3 ½ E. Main St., will host a Hunger 101 Workshop in conjunction with national Hunger Action Month at noon on Sunday, Sept. 25.
Hunger 101 is an interactive, role-playing exercise presented by GardenShare, in which most participants play the role of a head of household trying to get enough food for the family.
After figuring out the household’s budget for food, the participant can visit a grocery store, the social services office and the food pantry in this quest for food.
GardenShare Executive Director Gloria McAdam will lead the workshop, which is designed to draw participants into issues and spark discussions about finding solutions to the problem of hunger in our midst.
