Hundreds of St. Lawrence County students to graduate high school this weekend, here's a rundown of the ceremonies

Hundreds of students throughout St. Lawrence County area will celebrate at high school graduations this weekend as schools end the 2014 school year.

A list of ceremonies follows:

Potsdam

More than 100 Potsdam High School students are expected to walk the stage at 7 p.m. tonight at SUNY Potsdam’s Hosmer Hall as the class of 2014 celebrates commencement.

Social studies teacher Phillip Foisy will share a commencement address.

Class President Rian McFadden will also speak along with Superintendent Patrick Brady and High School Principal Joann Chambers.

Co-valedictorians Zhenhao Hou and Ke Alexander Wang and salutatorian Nathan Gingrich will give speeches.

Canton

Canton Central School will hold its 2014 commencement ceremony at St. Lawrence University’s Appleton Arena tonight 7 p.m.

In addition to the announcement of over 100 scholarships to be awarded, the ceremony will feature a speech by Rachel Horwitz and two special musical performances by student ensembles.

A reception sponsored by the Canton Teachers’ Association will be held at the arena following the ceremony.

Ogdensburg

One-hundred-and-six Ogdensburg Free Academy students will graduate at noon June 29 at Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Valedictorian Seth Tebo and salutatorian Nabiha Qudsi will give speeches. Class President Charlotte Miller will also address her classmates.

Diplomas will be presented by board president Ron Johnson, superintendent Timothy Vernsey and high school principal Cindy Tuttle.

Massena

Massena Central High School will celebrate commencement for 200 students at 1 p.m. June 28 in the high school gymnasium.

Valedictorian Samuel G. Gerber and Salutatorian Daniel R. Elman will address their classmates.

Patrick J. Farrand, principal, and Sarah Boyce, vice principal along with the Interim Superintendent of School, William Flynn will be handing out diplomas.

Jodi LaGarry will introduce Samuel Gerber, valedictorian. Rebecca Violi will introduce Daniel Elman, salutatorian.

Norwood-Norfolk

Approximately 60 students will receive diplomas at Norwood-Norfolk Central School at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at SUNY Potsdam’s Hosmer Hall.

Valedictorian Gabrielle Cole and Salutatorian Cadence Hunkins will give speeches at the event.

Scholarships will also be awarded.

Parishville-Hopkinton

Parishville Hopkinton’s Class of 2014 will celebrate graduation Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the high school auditorium.

Valedictorian Eric Hannon and Salutatorian Michael Burns will give speeches.

Scholarships, awards and diplomas will also be given at the ceremony.

Colton-Pierrepont

Colton-Pierrepont High School graduation will take place in the school auditorium tonight at 7 p.m. Valedictorian

Andrew Jenkins and Salutatorian Sabrina Johnson will offer speak to classmates at the event.

Scholarships awards and diplomas will be handed out at the ceremony.

Hermon-DeKalb

Graduation at Hermon-DeKalb Central School will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Valedictorian is Rebecca LeMunyon The salutatorian is Cameron Hance.

Scholarships, awards and diplomas will be presented to graduates at the ceremony.

Lisbon

Lisbon Central School will honor its graduating class of 2014 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Jacqueline Sovie, Ryan Buckley and Kristen Warner will address their classmates. Laura Pierce will speak on future plans.

Heuvelton

The 66th annual Heuvelton Central School graduation ceremony will take place tonight at 8 p.m. in the Poulton Auditorium.

The program will open with a welcoming speech by Madelyn St. Pierre, senior class president.

Johanna Carmany, Scarlett Cameron, Reilly Pierce and Alexis Michael, will speak to and on behalf of their classmates.

Morristown

The Morristown Central School Class of 2014 will walk the stage June 28, at 7 p.m. in the school gym.

This year's valedictorian is Bailey Holmes. Salutatorian is Kiernan Hughes.

Twenty-six students are expected to receive diplomas.

Madrid-Waddington

Madrid-Waddington Central School will celebrate commencement at 7 p.m. tonight, in the John Dinneen Auditorium.

Alex Hammond, Jessica LaMay, Emily Murphy and Alyssa Ryan will present speeches.

Board of Education Vice President, Douglas McKnight, will present diplomas. Scholarships and awards will also be issued at the event.

St. Lawrence Central

At St. Lawrence Central High School in Brasher Falls approximately 90 students will receive diplomas at 6 p.m. tonight on the West Lawn.

In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held inside.

Valedictorian is Jenna Kesner. Salutatorian is Shane Fuentes.

Hammond

Hammond Central School Class of 2014 will celebrate commencement for 17 graduates at 2 p.m. June 29 at the high school gymnasium. Valedictorian Emily Bush and Salutatorian Stephanie Morgan will give speeches.

Clifton-Fine

More than 20 students from Clifton-Fine’s Class of 2014 will receive diplomas Saturday at the PA Miranda auditorium. Valedictorian Anthony Dowling and Salutatorian Emma Hitchman will give speeches. Scholarships, diplomas and awards will be issued at the event.

Edwards-Knox

Edwards-Knox Central School Class of 2014 will graduate Saturday at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Valedictorian Emily Bush, Salutatorian Stephanie Morgan and honor student Bridget Kron will be honored as class leaders. Scholarships, awards and diplomas will be presented out at the event.

Gouverneur

Gouverneur High School Class of 2014 seniors will graduate at 7 p.m. tonight at the school’s auditorium. Giving speeches will be Sylvia Nentwick, Joy Anna Leader and Luke Dunkelberg.
