Hundreds of high school students in St. Lawrence County to graduate this weekend

Hundreds of high school students in St. Lawrence County will receive their diplomas in the coming week.

The dates, time and location of the graduation ceremonies follow:

Canton

Canton Central students will walk the stage Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. at SUNY Canton's Convocation, Athletic, and Recreation Center. Canton Central School named 10 academic class leaders for the class of 2018. Those students are Katharine Hebb, Noah Goldie, Hunter Dean, Brianna Larrabee, Abigail Warner, John Bailey, Hailey Newman, Elisa Sergi, Elizabeth Christy and Ticia Yerdon.

Clifton-Fine

Clifton-Fine class of 2018 Commencement will be held Saturday, June 23, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., in the P.A. Miranda Auditorium at the school, 11 Hall Ave., Star Lake.

Colton-Pierrepont

Colton-Pierrepont Central School’s Class of 2018 will hold its commencement ceremony on Friday, June 22 from 7-8 p.m. in the school auditorium. Speakers will be valedictorian Emily Johnson, salutatorian Liam Whalen, and guest speaker Hannah Knight, Class of 2009.

Edwards-Knox

A graduation ceremony for the Edwards-Knox Class of 2018 will be held Saturday, June 23 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the main gym. Forty-two students are expected to get their diplomas. Scheduled speakers include Alexa White, Emily Lasher, Haven Gotham and Travis White. Class leaders are Travis White, valedictorian; and Alexa White, salutatorian. Scholarship winners will be announced during graduation.

Gouverneur

Gouverneur Central Class of 2018 graduates Friday, June 22 from 7-9 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Hammond

Sixteen Hammond Central School students will get their diplomas June 24 at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the school gymnasium. Class leaders include Hannah McCarty and Syvanna Elk. Both will speak at the ceremony.

Harrisville

Harrisville Central School Graduation will be held Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, Mill Street.

Hermon-DeKalb

Hermon-Dekalb Central School’s Class of 2018 will graduate at a commencement ceremony on Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. at the school auditorium, 709 E. DeKalb Rd. Twenty-six students are expected to graduate. Class leaders are Cassidy Simmons, valedictorian and Sydney Harris, salutatorian.

Heuvelton

More than 30 Heuvelton Central School students will receive diplomas June 22 at 7 p.m. at the Poulton Auditorium.

Class leaders include Alexandra Steele, Rachel Hamilton, Nicolas Sheppard and Emily Basford. All four will speak at the meeting along with class president Alyssa Johnson.

Lisbon

Thirty-six Lisbon Central School graduates will get their diplomas June 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the auditorium. Speakers include Michaela Fields, Claire Donaldson and Tucker Jordan. Class leaders include Claire Donaldson, Tucker Jordan, Marissa Bigelow, Lauren Truesdell, Riley Green, Hallie Addison, Michaela Fields, Carson Smith, Mackenzie Cota, Kaitlyn Reynolds and Sierra Ashley.

Madrid-Waddington

Fifty-eight Madrid-Waddington Central School students will receive their diplomas June 22 at 7 p.m. in the Dinneen Auditorium. Tyler Allen, Lydia Maskell, Francis Bateman and Audrey Higginson will speak at the ceremony. Class leaders include Katharine Dinneen, Sara Evans, Audrey Higginson, Lydia Maskell, Emily McBath and Jacob Thomas.

Massena

Massena Central seniors will graduate on June 23 at 1 p.m. in Massena Arena. Their class leaders are valedictorian Meagan Morgan and salutatorian Al’lainya Dumas. The ceremony will also be live streamed on Facebook and their website.

Morristown

Nineteen students at Morristown Central School are expected to receive their diplomas June 23 at 7 p.m. at the district auditorium. Class leaders include valedictorian Allison Hockey and salutatorian Leah Ward.

Norwood-Norfolk

Norwood-Norfolk Central will host graduation Saturday, June 23, at SUNY Potsdam in Crane at 7 p.m. The Flyers will graduate 62 students this year. The valedictorian is Vanessa Prashaw and salutatorian is Olivia Eng.

Ogdensburg

Ogdensburg Free Academy’s graduation ceremony will be held at noon June 23 at the Golden Dome. Approximately 97 students are set to walk the stage.

Speakers will include valedictorian Justyn McCormick, salutatorian Coby Ryan and class president Brandon Oshier.

Parishville-Hopkinton

Parishville-Hopkinton’s Class of 2018 will line up to receive their diplomas at the graduation ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, in the auditorium.

The senior class was led academically by valedictorian Abigail White and Clare Snell, its salutatorian, of the Class of 2018. The graduation speaker will be sixth grade teacher and senior class adviser Lori White. Abigail White will give a speech as both valedictorian and class president. Clare Snell will give a speech as salutatorian.

Potsdam

Potsdam Central School students will graduate Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. in Hosmer Hall at SUNY Potsdam. The school will graduate 109 Stoners this year. Student speakers include valedictorian Hannah Holt, salutatorian Charles Helenrook, class president Isabel Pecora, French teacher Danielle Wilson, high school principal Mark Bennett and PCS Superintendent Joann Chambers.

St. Lawrence Central

St. Lawrence Central students will get their diplomas June 22 at 6 p.m. at the school auditorium. Class leaders include valedictorian Emily Grow and Salutatorian Breanna Anderson.
