DEKALB JUNCTION -- Humorist and songwriter Margaret Hockett will perform her original works July 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Meetinghouse Museum, 696 East DeKalb Road.
The concert “Stranger than Fiction: War of 1812” is a lighthearted look at some problems soldiers encountered. Some of Maggie’s parodies include “Embargo Backwards Spells “O Grab Me,” “Battle of the Mosquitoes,” “No Canada,” and “Payback Tango.”
She is the author of two books and the bass player for String Folks. The Meetinghouse Museum is wheelchair assessable.
The concert is free and sponsored by the DeKalb Historical Association as part of their annual performance series.
