CANTON – Claiming there are about 27 million slaves in the world today, the Human Wrong Campaign team will hold a free informational panel discussion on Human Trafficking 4 p.m. April 6 in St. Lawrence University’s Hepburn Hall room 218.
Local professors who have researched the issue will address child soldiering; sex trafficking in Southeast Asia, Amsterdam and the U.S.; the underground criminality and economics; and how to detect a victim of Human Trafficking. They will also discuss ways to help fight against slavery.
The SLU Human Wrong Campaign is affiliated with the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, a campus club that meets regularly to discuss Biblical concepts and how to give back to the campus community.
