POTSDAM – A “Confidence to Care Program” will be offered by Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley at the Potsdam First Presbyterian Church, 42 Elm St. The program is designed to educate and equip people to minister to the body, soul and spirit of those suffering from serious illness.
The program consists of three parts, each about one hour. On Monday, May 7, Ruth Scruggs, Hospice RN, will present “Understanding the Dying Process” from 7 – 8 p.m. and Lynn Snow, Hospice social worker, will present “Coping With Grief and Loss” from 8 to 9 p.m.
Robert Schirmer, Hospice chaplain, presents “The Spiritual Journey at End of Life/Dying Process” Monday, May 14 from 7 to 8 p.m.
