Hospice and Palliative Care's gourmet brunch 'Tastes of Autumn' taking reservations for Oct. 16 Massena event

MASSENA -- Tastes of Autumn, Hospice and Palliative Care's popular gourmet brunch, will return to the River Road Restaurant at the Massena Country Club beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16. Seatings will continue every 30 minutes until 2:30 p.m.

The cost is $40 per ticket and proceeds will help to sustain Hospice's many patient services and community programs.

Guest chefs include Dr. Bill Orlando of Orlando Chiropractic, Massena, Rick Fregoe of Rad to the Bone BBQ and Massena Memorial Hospital, and John VanKennen of SUNY Potsdam.

The menu will feature romesco topped jumbo shrimp over creamy Parmesan polenta with asparagus, garlic and herb encrusted prime rib smoked on site, and Kaneb Ciber brined chicken.

Brunch will also include hand-crafted soups, salad, bread and desserts from a variety of local businesses and organizations.

Hospice Board Member Chad Green of Donaldson Funeral Home will once again serve as the event host and members of the Massena Rotary Club will return as the celebrity wait staff.
