POTSDAM -- Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley is broadcasting its seventh radiothon Thursday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hospice Center, 6805 US Rte. 11.

The Radiothon will feature testimonials from a variety of individuals who have experienced this special kind of compassionate care and support first hand.

Hospice services have touched the lives of numerous St. Lawrence County residents and have supported families through difficult times. The Radiothon is an opportunity to hear how the generosity of the community affects people’s lives through hospice.

This year, Hospice has partnered with Little Italy of Potsdam to provide a gift to every person who makes a pledge during the radiothon. Additional prizes include a gift certificate to Eben’s Hearth, two round trip tickets from Ogdensburg to Boston courtesy of Cape Air, and autographed copies of the regional best seller “Adirondack Treasure” by local author Matthew Glavin.

Anyone interested in sharing a story can contact Kellie Hitchman to set up a time at 265-3105 or khitchman@hospiceslv.org.

The Radiothion will be broadcast on WMSA/1340, WLFK/95.3, WQTK 92.7. Stations offering support of the Radiothon for Hospice also include WVLF 96.1, WNCQ 102.9, WYSX 96.7 and WSNN 99.3.

Pledges can be made online at www.hospiceradiothon.org or by phone Nov. 5 by calling 315-274-9336.
