HOPKINTON - Fireworks, lawnmower races and musical acts are lined for Hopkinton's Summer Fest Friday, July 20 through Saturday at the town park.
Events begin Friday at 7 p.m. at the village gazebo with a talent contest open to all ages.
A parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday morning on Route 11B and continues to Route 49. Fort Drum's 10th Mountain Division Band will be among the marchers.
A tractor pull begins 12 noon behind the NuMed building on Route 11B.
A town hall dinner will be held at 5 p.m. followed by the annual block dance at 8 p.m. featuring the "Drifters."
At the gazebo local artists will perform throughout the day.
At 11:30 a.m. River Mohawks will play, followed by North Country at 1:45 p.m. Lacey Stoddard will perform at 4 p.m. with Oshier Country following at 5:15 p.m. Saturday gazebo performances will close with music from Kountry Rebels II.
Sunday morning guests are invited to a pancake breakfast at the town hall.
Tractor pulls will begin at 9 a.m. behind the NuMed building.
Sunday at the gazebo, the Old Timers Band will start off an afternoon of music at 12 noon. The Kickin' Back band will play at 2:15 p.m., followed by the Kickin Kountry Cloggers. From 6 p.m. until dusk Wendy Crump will offer music and karaoke.
Hopkinton Summerfest will end with a fireworks display at dusk.
