CANTON -- The Local Living Venture along with Eric Dyer of Nature's Storehouse's will present a hands-on workshop called “Home Brewing Basics: Two Methods for 'DIY' Beer” on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Registration is needed to receive the exact location. Learn how to use two basic home brewing methods -- using a basic malt extract and the more advanced brewing techniques of an all-grain recipe to demonstrate how to set up a grain mash and extraction.
Participants will boil a malt extract recipe in order to see how to add hops, cool the wort, and pitch yeast.
The group will bottle a previously made batch of beer, in order to share as complete an experience as possible.
The cost is $27, $50 discount for a couple and $15 for students. All attendees must be over 21 years of age; proof of age required.
RSVP: LocalLivingVenture@gmail.com or call 347-4223.
