POTSDAM -- A Holocaust Remembrance Day with guest speaker Eva Kuper will be held Sunday, April 19, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Congregation Beth El, 81 Market St.
Eva Kuper, from Warsaw, will share her compelling story that has been made into a film. Born at the start of WW II, Kuper survived the war by a series of miraculous events involving luck, coincidence and the courage and faith of several individuals, both family members and virtual strangers, especially the incredible Sister Klara Jaroszynska.
Kuper emigrated to Canada with her family in 1949 where she grew up "practically Canadian" with the history of the Holocaust always in the background, event organizers said.
