CANTON -- The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St., hosts historian and gardener Hallie Bond at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 6. Bond will present "Mountain Greenery," a look back at how earlier generations of North Country residents tended indoor gardens, and what houseplants were popular in earlier times. Everyone is welcome to this free program.
Participants will be encouraged to talk about their own indoor gardens, and are invited to bring examples of plants from home (carefully wrapped for the weather). Afternoon refreshments will be served following the presentation.
