HEUVELTON -- The Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department opens its doors to the public from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
The open house is being conducted in conjunction with the Firemen's Association of the State of New York 's recruiting drive.
The Heuvelton volunteers are offering to tell people what it takes to become a firefighter or emergency medical responder.
They will demonstrate a car extrication at 2 p.m. Also provided will be emergency medical service information, fire station tours, and refreshments.
