HEUVELTON -- Heuvelton’s Giving Tree will be trimmed at a Nov. 19 Heuvelton Free Library open house at 7 p.m.
The Giving Tree is a Christmas program that Heuvelton began 32 years ago and continues yet today.
Heuvelton Boy and Girl Scouts trim the tree each year.
Each ornament represents a child in the Heuvelton school district who, without the help of the program, would have a very bleak Christmas.
No names are on the ornaments, just the age and gender.
A card accompanies the ornament, which lists the child's sizes and some Christmas wishes.
