OGDENSBURG -- More than 300 students from Heuvelton and Ogdensburg will visit the Fourth Annual Living History Day at Lighthouse Point.
Fort La Presentation Association hosts the "hands-on history" day that allows students to experience the colonial lifestyle.
Demonstrations of open hearth cooking, rope making, colonial lighting, cartridge rolling, fur trading, weaving, colonial toys, spinning, and much more will be held.
Students will complete scavenger hunt questions for a chance to win prizes. The day will end with the firing of cannon.
This event is sponsored by Heuvelton Central School, Fort La Presentation, Ogdensburg City Schools, the Heuvelton Lions Club, the Ogdensburg Teacher's Association, the Heuvelton Teacher’s Association, and the Heuvelton PTA.
