HEUVELTON -- Amvets Post 1997 has a full slate of events for October, including a horseshoe tournament, craft fair and Halloween parties for kids and adults.
Oct. 8 - Post meeting, 6:30 p.m.
Oct. 11 - Horseshoe tournament, 9 a.m. Bring a partner. Info: Pete Havens, 528-7143.
Oct. 12 - Sons of Amvets meeting, 1 p.m.
Oct. 13 - Ladies Auxiliary meeting, 6:30 p.m.
Oct. 18 - Craft fair and luncheon, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the auxiliary and proceeds will go toward scholarships.
Oct. 19 and 26 - Sunday breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m. Cost is $5.50 for adults and $4 for kids under age 13.
Oct. 25 - Halloween dance with music by The New Buckskins, 8 p.m. to midnight. Prizes and refreshments will be included.
Oct. 26 - Kids' Halloween party, 1 to 3 p.m. The event is for children and grandchildren of Amvets, Sons of Amvets and Ladies Auxiliary members.
