Helicopter to bomb golf balls for charity at Father Martin Field in Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- Tickets are on sale for the St. Joseph’s Home Golf Ball Drop.

They will host the event on Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. at Father Martin Field.

Up to 2,000 numbered golf balls will be dropped from Frank Richardson’s helicopter onto the field.

The numbers correspond to tickets which can be purchased for $5 each.

The ball closest to the hole wins 1st prize of $1,000. Second closest receives $200 and third closest receives $100.

Ticketholders need not be present to win.

Tickets can be purchased at St. Joseph’s Home and from its board members and staff or from team members who will be set up at Kinney Drugs and WalMart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
