POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Farmers' Market and GardenShare, will host Harvest Fest which will include live music, a scavenger hunt, and cabbage bowling.
The event will be Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the municipal lot near Ives' Park.
There will be trivia game for adults; the correct answers earning a chance to win a basket of farmers' market goodies.
Shoppers can browse booths of over 30 local producers offering fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, wines, teas, bakery goods, herbs, maple syrup, honey, flowers, and crafts.
Produce in season includes apples, beans, beets, raspberries, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, corn, and cucumbers. Other produce in season is eggplant, grapes, herbs, kale, lettuce, melons, onions, pears, peppers, plums, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, spinach, squash, and Swiss chard.
The event will also feature free wine tasting and samples of dishes featuring seasonal ingredients fresh from the market.
