HARRISVILLE – The students at Harrisville Central School will present Shrek the Musical Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25, at 7 p.m.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical brings you the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess. Including a short-tempered villain and over a dozen other fairytale misfits, and you've got a crazy stew of characters.
Students in 6th through 12th grades have been hard at work putting the show together since January. In total, 25 students make up the cast with an additional 15 students working lights, sound and stage crew. Teachers and students throughout the school have lent their talent creating, painting and building to bring this fairytale world to life.
The show is directed by Harrisville Music Department teachers Alex Boccio and Jennifer Keefer.
