LAKE PLACID – The world famous Harlem Globetrotters, celebrating their 88th year of entertaining fans, are bringing their tour to the Olympic Center Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The Globetrotters are asking fans to help set up new rules for the 7 p.m. game that are aimed at making the show more entertaining.
At harlemglobetotters.com/rule, fans can vote for a “hot-hand jersey” rule, where players can pass the special jersey among each other and a player scoring while wearing it will earn double points; a “make or miss” rule, where a quarter begins with only two players per team on the court, and when one team scores, they can get another player on the court and if they miss a shot they lose one player; or a “trick shot challenge,” where a coach can use one of three challenge flags per side to challenge the opposing team to make a trick shot, and if they make it they get five points and if they miss the other team gets the five points.
Tickets start at $18 each, from harlemglobetrotters.com, www.tickets.com, at the Olympic Center box office, or by calling (518) 523-3330.
