POTSDAM -- The eighth annual “Hankfest” will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m., with highlights to include raffles, kid’s games, an arts and crafts show and live music.
Hankfest is held in honor of country music legend Hank Williams.
The festival will be at the gazebo in Ives Park.
Live music will include the Oshier Band, other local groups, and music by Patsy Cline. A basket from the Patsy Cline Fan Club will be raffled.
Vendors will set up, and the Grub Tub will provide food. Door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be offered.
Next year the Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group intends to include a tribute to Patsy Cline at Hankfest, with a plaque to be sent to her family.
The group was created in 2006 to hold an annual country music festival to raise money for local charities.
This year’s proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.
