POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum presents “Hands-on History for Kids” April 22 from at the Potsdam Museum, 2 Park St., from 12:30 until 2 p.m.

Explore the history of a North Country childhood through an interactive workshop.

With real artifacts from the Potsdam Museum’s collection and activities, participants can investigate how their grandparents may have lived and played in the past.

Activities include early school days, old-fashioned kitchen, toys of the past, early transportation and the maple industry. Maple samples included.

The program is led by Potsdam Museum Director Mimi VanDeusen and St. Lawrence University History students.

The cost is $10 per participant.

Register through clear@potsdam.edu or 267-2167. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
