HAMMOND -- The Hammond Museum and farmers' market is celebrating a grand opening on July 2.
The market will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. with produce, arts and crafts for sale. There will also be a petting zoo, face painting, kids' games and museum tours.
A pig roast with Good Bye Earl will go from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Menu includes pulled pork with buns, baked beans, salt potatoes, coleslaw and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 12.
At 7 p.m., Debbie Miller will lead children in singing patriotic songs. Attendees should bring their own blankets or lawn chairs.
Produce vendors include Circle G Farm, Steve Brooks and the Ennis-Brooke Farm.
Artisans will include Bruce Dana Photography, Radiant Gem soap and jewelry, ED Flowers and Treasures, Melissa Proven jewelry and crafts and a spinning demonstration by Liz Bawden.
