HAMMOND -- The Hammond Farmers and Artisans' Market has room for more vendors, particularly those selling produce.
It will open July 2 at the Hammond Museum, State Route 37, and will run every Wednesday from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. through Oct. 1.
The market can accept EBT/SNAP cards as well as debit cards.
The vendor fee for the whole season is $25.
The fee is negotiable for those seeking to operate part-time.
Again this year, the Hammond Museum is offering a series of Wednesday events that will give visitors reasons to take advantage of both the market and the entertainment Historian Donna Demick has planned.
Opening day will feature a petting zoo at 2 p.m., a pig roast from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and live music at 7 p.m.
