NORTH LAWRENCE -- North Lawrence Fire & EMS will host a Halloween Party from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28.
The party will include games, music and treats.

CANTON -- The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St., will host a live band Halloween Contra Dance from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Angie Oliver will be the caller and music will be performed by Rick Kovacs and friends.
The dance is open to the public for a suggested donation of $5 to $10. Beginners are welcome and Halloween costumes are encouraged.
This will be the final contra dance of the year.

MASSENA -- The New York Power Authority will host its Spooktacular Halloween Party at the Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch at the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The free event will include pumpkin and face painting, games, movies and trick or treating for all children in costume.
During the party, guests will also be able to view the wide array of interactive exhibits at the visitors center on the themes of water power and the St. Lawrence facility, basics of electricity and uses of electricity.
Visitors can touch, see and listen to the many interactive exhibits while enjoying the panoramic views of the NYPA power dam.
The visitors center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

NORWOOD -- The Norwood Public Library, 1 Morton St., will host a Halloween Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Radio host Todd Moe will provide scary stories and the event will also include crafts, activities and trick-or-treating in the library.
Free children's books will be given out while supplies last.
