POTSDAM -- Clayton Coburn and Sharon Gill will receive an honorable mention at the New York Book Festival Awards ceremony in New York City on June 21 for their travelogue “Had to Take a Break,” a recounting of their bicycle trips around New York, the Northeast and Canada.
The book has some extra interest for the North Country since on the cover is a photo of Ives Park in Potsdam.
Coburn, the writer, and Gill, the illustrator, will be at the Potsdam Summer Festival July 13 showing and selling that book and the sequel, “Had to Take Another Break.”
