CRARY MILLS – Experience sap collection with Giffin Road Maple on March 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. using traditional buckets and boiling down with local hardwood.
Attendees should wear appropriate clothing for working outdoors and gathering sap in the woods.
After collection, the group will sit around the evaporator in the sugar shack and share stories and answer questions.
Children are welcome, but need adult supervision is required due to an extremely hot evaporator nearby.
Bring a mug and enjoy some hot cocoa.
There is a suggested $5 donation.
