OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce will host a scavenger hunt Saturday, Sept. 14.
Teams of four will set out from Hosmer’s Marina at 1 p.m. to use knowledge of history, trivia, legends, and local people to find six clues and landmarks, answer questions, scavenge around the city for “treasures,” and identify photos of Ogdensburg locations.
Answers must be turned in at the marina by 7 p.m.
History buffs Dave Sickler and Kevin McDonough will create clues and Bill and Elaine Seymour will furnish photos of local landmarks for identification.
The winning team will receive a $200 cash prize. Last year’s hunt saw team Hannan beat out team LaComb with a five-point win. All participants will be treated to a party as the judges tabulate the scores.
The entry fee will be $50 per team. Call Sandy Porter at the chamber office at 393-3620 to enter.
