CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension is starting a grazing dairy discussion group Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Extension Learning Farm classroom, 2043B State Highway 68.
The first meeting will be an organizational meeting to get to know each other and pick topics for meetings in January, February and March.
Lunch will be provided.
Some topics might be feeding grain, not feeding grain, soil health, pasture rotations, choosing genetics and calf health.
St. Lawrence County has a large number of organic and grass-fed dairy farms. The discussion group will allow participants to share ideas.
