CANTON -- The Grasse River Players will show “Revenge of the Space Pandas” tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Mamet, the play centers around a teenage inventor who accidentally sends himself and two friends to the distant planet, Crestview, which is ruled by a dictator and an army of space Pandas.
The play will be shown in the Canton middle school cafeteria. The cast includes Liam Rodee, as Binky Rudich, the inventor; Nathaniel Brown as Bob the sheep; Daysia Wagner as Vivian; Shannon Furgison as Binky’s mother; Jacques Kuno as George Topax, the dictator; Ricky Lashock as the dictator’s retainer; Jeff Grigel as Edward Farpis; John Trombley as the Executioner; Morgan Hastings as a news reporter; Syl Foisy as court jester; and Naomi Crowell, Elyse Tavernier, Hayley Irish, Julia Basford, Sarah Rodee and Amelia Rodee as the Pandas.
The production was designed by and will be directed by Karen Wells with Lorie Gruneisen as Music Director.
Tickets will be $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $3 for children 12 and under.
