CANTON – Grasse River Players will hold auditions Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Canton Unitarian Church Social Room and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5 in the Downstairs Room for the comedy The New York Idea, adapted by David Auburn from the original by Langdon Mitchell.
The cast includes five women, young to “whatever-you are,” and seven men, young to “whatever-you-are.” No one need worry about being the “right age.”
This outrageous comedy is directed by Dorothy Mallam, who has produced such memorable Canton theater nights as Postmortem and many others.
A copy of the script may be checked out overnight at the Canton Free Library.
Production is scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16, 17 and 18, in the Fellowship Hall of the first Presbyterian Church on the Park, Canton.
Come to auditions even if you are not interested in auditioning. We are looking for new as well as the familiar faces.
