GOUVERNEUR -- Volunteers are needed for annual Special Olympics North Country Region Bowling Competition in Gouverneur Oct. 26.
Volunteers will be needed from noon to 3 p.m. Volunteers on the lanes keep score making sure athletes bowl in the correct order and record total scores on cards used to prepare awards. Volunteers also can assist with preparing and handing out awards.
The Olympics will take place at the Gouverneur Bowl located on Route 11.
