GOUVERNEUR -- A benefit for local teacher Daniel Baker will be held Sept. 21 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge. There will be live entertainment, bounce house, face painting, vendors, crafts, raffles, and a silent auction.
A spaghetti dinner will be served. Adults will be $8, ages five to 11 $5, and under four eat free. Vendors are still being accepted.
Baker was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and will be traveling to New York City for treatments.
