Helicopter ball drop fundraiser set for Sept. 23 in Ogdensburg

Smithers, St. Joseph’s Home Foundation foundation director.OGDENSBURG — The 7th annual St. Joseph’s Foundation Gold Ball Drop Fundraiser is set for Saturday, Sept. 23 at Father Martin Field, Paterson Street.
Numbered golf balls will be dropped from Frank Richardson’s helicopter at 1 p.m. The holder of the number of the ball closest to the pin will win $1,000. Second closest receives $500, third closest receives $300, fourth closest wins $200, and the 5th closest ball wins $100.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at St. Joseph’s Home, 950 Linden St., from their board members and staff, or at the St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union on State Street or Kinney Drugs on Canton Street. .
St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union donated $1,000 to the foundation for its first prize in the fundraiser.
