POTSDAM -- The Glenis Redmond Tributary Poetry Project will perform March 28 at 9 a.m. and noon in Snell Theater for kids in grades four through eight.
The project is a creative writing initiative which focuses on place-based and regionally-centered poetry, encouraging participants to reflect on the stories, facts and myths of their family and community.
The intent of the project is to encourage participants to become their own celebrants of place, by creating poems that are then offered to the community as a gift.
Glenis Redmond's residency will take students through the poetry writing process, as well as the performance of their original work.
