CANTON – St. Lawrence County Historical Association, 3 E. Main St., is offering a workshop, Using the Internet for Genealogical Research on Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The workshop will center on internet resources for researching family history in the United States and eastern Canada, primarily the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Participants are welcome to bring their laptops to try out some of the sources presented as well as share the details of others they wish to recommend. Workshop leader is Rita Goldberg, a volunteer researcher at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association archives.
The cost is $10 for SLCHA members and $15 for non-members. The price includes access to the SLCHA archives for the afternoon of June 12 only. Pre-registration is required, and there is a maximum of 12 to 15 participants.
