POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam student branch of the International Socialist Organization is bringing LGBTQ transgendered Latina activist Jennicet Eva Gutiérrez to speak Sept. 23 at Dunn Theater at 7 p.m. at SUNY Potsdam.
SUNY Potsdam and St. Lawrence University alumni Thomas Matt, now working for the ACLU in Chicago, will also speak.
They will be introduced by SUNY Potsdam faculty and ISO members Laura and Axel Fair-Schulz, who will be addressing “LGBTQ rights, within a larger context of universal human rights, socialism and working together to change the systemic obstacles to social justice,” event organizers said.
There will be a Q&A discussion afterward. All are welcome.
