CANTON -- Local living Venture and Annie Clark of Annie's Garlic will host a garlic workshop. People can learn the distinguishing characteristics of the ten genetic types of garlic, best practices for optimal soil building, the life cycle of garlic of garlic planting, some preventative measures against pests and disease, and the many ways to eat garlic throughout the year. Questions and discussion of all things garlic will be highlighted.
The event is Oct. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Annie’s Garlic, 273 Morrill Road.
Reservations are suggested but not required.

Cos is $17, $30/couple, and $7/student.
Attendees should bring drinking water and wear appropriate clothing for the weather, including sturdy footwear and rain gear in the event of a drizzle. For those who have mobility issues, bring a stool or travel chair.
