CANTON -- Gardenshare is now offering a $100 subsidy on a $350 share of fresh produce from Birdsfoot Farm's Community Supported Agriculture program.
The farm is based in Canton.
Farmer Dulli Tengeler will hold an outreach meeting and brief slide show, followed by a question and answer session, food stamp payment option and the subsidy.
Tengeler will also discuss how to move from processed to farm food.
The event will be held on April 28 at 7 p.m. each night at Birdsfoot Farm, 1263 County Route 25. A second session will be April 30 at 7 p.m. at Canton Unitarian Church, at 3 1/2 Main St.
The event is free and open to everyone.
“We will start the season mid-June with fresh lettuce, spinach, herbs and peas. By July we add carrots, beets, zucchini and broccoli and in August the full bounty with tomatoes, potatoes, beans, garlic and more will fill our tables,” Tengeler said.
