HAMMOND – A fur handling demonstration by Toby Edwards from Fur Harvesters will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Black Lake Fish and Game Club.
Edwards will demonstrate fur handling of multiple species. Demonstrations will include skinning, fleshing, and boarding and tips on preparing a hide for market. He will also talk about sizing and equipment. Participants will learn how to get the most money out of their furs.
Event will take place at Robinson Hall on the club grounds and is free to BLFGC members. Memberships will be sold that day for anyone wishing to become a member.
Members of the Morristown CSD Trap Shooting Team will have a concession stand for lunch. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and dessert will be sold
The event is family-friendly and open to all.
