POTSDAM – The band Funk Mode will be the next featured performer of the Ives Park Concert Series Sept. 16, at 7 p.m.

Funk Mode is a funk fusion band based in Canton, created by local musicians Jon Dufore and Kyle Tupper from their faculty recitals at St. Lawrence University.

Funk Mode’s stated goal is to showcase original tunes and arrangements of covers, and to challenge themselves with more diverse and difficult music.

The band is comprised of Dufore on guitar, Matt Gayle on bass, Bill Vitek on keyboards, Tupper on drums and vocals, Tim Savage on sax and Dave Alderson on trumpet.

The second season of the Ives Park Concert Series will feature future performances by Crane Latin Ensemble on Sept. 23 and the Waydown Wailers on Sept. 30.

The series is organized by What a Raquette Music and Dance.

All concerts are free, family-friendly and open to the public. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. There will be a bucket passed for donations, and all donations over $50 will be recognized in future reports and programs. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed.
