EDWARDS -- An event to raise money for a single mom from Edwards who has been diagnosed with breast cancer will be held Saturday March 2 at 2 p.m.
Julie Schell is the single mother of three. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She has owned the Skunks Nest in Hermon and bartended at the American House. She is currently undergoing a second round of chemotherapy and she may need surgery in March.
The fundraiser will be held at The Last Lap. Music will include Raven, Sudden Impact, City By Nightfall and Paparazzi Scandal. The sound will be provided by Ronnie Vegas of Tyrade.
Raffles and 50/50 tickets will be sold.
The proceeds from a $5 cover charge will benefit Schell and her treatment.
