CANTON -- A fundraiser in honor of 16-year old Sami Curtis will benefit the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund is slated for Saturday, Aug. 15 at Honeydew Acres, 168 Post Rd.
Sami has had a malignant brain tumor removed and is waiting on an exact diagnosis to develop a treatment plan.
Her employer, Peggy McAdam of Honey Dew Acres, is hosting the fundraiser in her honor. Proceeds benefit the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund of which Sami has been an active board member since she was thirteen years old.
The “Help Sami Kick Cancer” fundraiser kicks off at 9 a.m. with a horse show with other events starting at 10 a.m.
Bounce houses, carnival games, pony and wagon rides, a cake-walk, food, prizes and more are all planned.
There is no admission but most activities need purchased tickets to participate.
