The Friends of Robert Moses State Park will host several events as part of the “Mind, Body, Soul – Come Alive!” program during April.

The trail walking program will meet Saturday, April 6 from 1 to 2 p.m. The group will meet at the Nature Center office, and pedometers will be available to use on site.

The monthly outdoor meditation circle will meet Saturday, April 13 from 1 to 2 p.m. Jody Wallace, a licensed massage therapist and energy-bodywork practitioner, will give an outdoor “Oneness Blessing” or (Deeksha) meditation circle. Connect with your inner truth. Dress for the weather.

An “Adopt-A-Tree” event will be held Saturday, April 20 from 1 to 2 p.m. to celebrate Earth Day. Local new age children’s author Rayne Storm will lead kids through the nature trails, after which kids will adopt a tree at the Nature Center. Kids can return to their tree each month to record how it changes throughout the season.

A family picnic celebration will be held Saturday, April 27 from noon to 4 p.m. in honor of Autism Awareness month. Bring a blanket and picnic basket. Relay races, a hula hop contest, story time and outdoor yoga for kids will be offered.

Also planned for April 27 is a SLAP “Fireside Poetry Jam” from 6 to 9 p.m. in celebration of National Poetry month. The St. Lawrence Area Poets (SLAP) will host an outdoor fireside poetry jam.
