MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center are hosting daycamps from July 13 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
The camps are for kids ages 6 to 12.
They will be at Barnhart Beach. Event organizers say attendees should bring a lunch and something to drink.
The program is free.

Schedule:
July 13 - Orienteering and geocaching. Includes instruction on basic orienteering and how to use a GPS unit.
July 14 - “Ants, Ants Everywhere.” Workshop on ants and how they survive.
July 15 - Birds and birdwatching. Lessons on how to identify birds by sight and sound. Also includes kite-making.
July 16 - Gloop and other slimes. Class on how to make modeling clays and what event organizers call “other fascinating creations.”
July 17 - Reptiles and amphibians of New York. Kids can learn about native reptiles and amphibians, also includes a craft.
