COLTON -- The Friends of Higley Flow State Park host a trail work day starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 to help prepare the trails for winter and enjoy a pleasant walk through the woods.
Volunteers will need to sign in at the Park Office. There are no tolls to enter the park during this time of year.
Members of both the St. Lawrence University and Clarkson X-Country Ski Teams will be present to help.
Beginning in December, the park and new Higley Trails Lodge will be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings so that people can use the park after dark.
The group is also raising funds for a new x-country ski trail groomer.
The Friends of Higley Flow State Park is dedicated to providing a higher level of awareness, understanding, appreciation, and respect for Higley Flow State Park’s natural resources and activities.
