Friends of the Canton Free Library host annual book, bake and craft sale Dec. 1

CANTON -- The Friends of the Canton Free Library will host the annual book, bake and craft sale Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the downstairs section of the library, 8 Park St.

A selection of cakes, pies, specialty breads, cookies, candy, books, books on tape, best-sellers, children’s books, and magazines will be for sale.

Crafters will include Alicia Handel, who sells spoon pendants and switch plate covers; Lisa Gardner and her handmade soaps, candles and country home décor and Krista Weber, who specializes in fabric jewelry and accessories. Handmade ornaments and garlands, along with assorted fudge and other treats, will be sold by Melanie Jerome-Dafoe. JoAnn Roberts will also sell roasted nuts and other goodies.

Raffle tickets for the “Hometown Holiday” basket will also be available. The basket includes local honey and maple syrup, wine, a wine bottle cheeseboard, chocolates, nuts, and ornaments. The Friends’ McCarthy's cookbooks will also be available for purchase for $14 each.
